These are Binx first and last pictures. On August 15, 2023 he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. He was only with us for four years, but during that time he brought so much love and joy into our lives. Binx was my constant companion during the pandemic as I worked remotely. He loved spending his days staring at the birds outside the window while I worked. He always knew when I needed a break and so he would push his way into my arms for snuggles. Binx was always ready for a boop on the nose, meeting you halfway as soon as he saw your finger coming towards him. He was a goofy little guy who loved running up and down the hallway then jumping on to his cat wheel to run as fast as he could. Every new cardboard box that came into our home would become his favorite, that is until the next box showed up. When he wasn’t running or playing, you could find him peaking down at you from the tops of the highest cabinets. He was a sucker for his favorite treats, learning tricks to get a few extra. Binx loved when I sang to him, rolling on his back and purring when I did… despite my horrible singing voice.
In August 2022, he was diagnosed with FIP. He fought and beat that horrible disease, but sadly it left him immuno-compromised. A different sickness snuck up on him and was just too much for his little body to handle. We helped him fight the best we could, but he soon showed us he was tired and ready to go. There is a void in our home, a bit of emptiness without his energy and love. As we comfort our other pets and each other, we find solace in our own pain knowing he is now resting pain free.
Our Binxy Baby will always be in our hearts and missed more than words can describe. Four years of having him in our lives was not enough, but we will hold on to the memories from those years forever.
