In loving memory of Bud
July 2008 to Sept 22nd 2023
Bud, affectionately known as Mr Budders.
A handsome fella! Black and white tuxedo with a touch of chocolate behind the ears. And polydactyl front mittens.
A good friend and a loyal companion. You taught me the meaning of unconditional love. No matter the changes in life, or how busy I got, you were constant in your desire to be by me. You brought much joy and comfort, with your rooting for pets and “Merr” instead of meow. My Merr-cat.
You were a wonderful cat and we miss you terribly. 15 years was too short a time. Thank you for sharing your life with me.
Bud and his littermate sister Cleo came into my life in August 2008. They were bonded pair from that point on. Cleo was the protector as Bud was a big softy.
He would greet me by the door as soon as I came in, and whenever he saw me he wanted to be near. I would tell him he was a good boy, a prime example. I had a kitty alarm clock as he would vocalize to tell me it was time to get up each morning.
He enjoyed scratches behind the ears and under the chin, chasing toys and ribbons in his youth, being groomed by his sister, and sitting on people. He loved sitting in boxes – “if I fits, I sits”.
He was a stoic boy and endured hardships without complaint. He wanted to be by me even while end stage kidney disease approached. He finally used his “Merr” to tell me it was time to go.
