When I got you 14 years ago you immediately had my heart! You were a sick puppy and I put myself into unthinkable debt to save your life… and it was a struggle to keep you healthy for so many years. I am so glad I never gave up on you! You lived an incredible life full of adventure and fun. But you became sick again, and this time was different. There was no surgery, no medicine that could perk you back up. Your eyes were tired and your body was weak and instead of struggling to keep you alive I’m struggling with saying goodbye.
You’ve been with me for so much! Relationships, breakups, moving cities, moving states, marriage, holidays, bringing home a baby and so so much more. I couldn’t have asked for a better companion and I’m so grateful I had so many wonderful years with you. I’ll miss you my little shadow. Run free Calvinypoohpooh (as Quinn calls you). You will be in our hearts forever.
