In Memory of Jackson

Jackson entered our lives in 2012 via the Oregon Humane Society, he was just over 2 years old. We were told by OHS staff that people were uninterested in him and so he sat there. Looking back, when they took him out of his cage and allowed him to run around in a large room, he was full of energy. Despite that, there was something about him that told us he would soon be a part of our lives.

Jackson was King of his castle. He had free reign of property in the country and slept much of his adult life in the comfort of a king-sized bed inside with us. He shared our home, RV and lives and he was a great protector. He was lucky enough to travel multiple states and had his own couch in the RV.

Over the last year, time took its toll, and his hips began to fail. There was nothing to be done. It was a hard choice but just short of his November 3rd birthday we had to let him go. Words cannot express the hole that furry, fir cone-catching dog has made in our lives.

There will never be another Jackson.
